In other News of Eros (Clean Sheets (grownups only!!) is a literotica site), I was fascinated by (GROWNUPS ONLY!!) this post at ErosBlog about "The New Fetish Map." It's an imaginary continent drawn by Franklin Veaux in order to show "how vast the actual range of sexual expression is."
Studying the map confronted me with the mystery of being human--we're so simple, but so not. We just need love, food, shelter and a chance to contribute...but we also have, for example, balloon fetishes.
And so I began to feel very tender. Each one of those fetishes--balloons, statues, bondage (now mainstream but once shocking), furries, what have you--really does represent a nation, a small nation of people with harmless yet deeply personal secrets. That we know of these borderless nations at all is a tribute to their immense courage, their determination to live, as much as possible, in the light.
